Hi there.
Recently got an electribe sx1 (esx1 from now on) and its a blast.
Although i can´t really get my head around the slice function.
I took a basic jungle beat, around 140bpm or so, sliced it up - sample -> shift + 13 (time slice) 8/16 -> threshold 10 -> done.
So now i´m wondering, do i need to save it on as a new sample, or is it already done. The sample is showing the *.|* icon when i select it.
This isn´t the key issue though. I found that on page 47 of the manual it seems that its possible to take the slices and map the individual sliced parts onto the drum parts (1-7b). Problem is that i can´t get the "SliceEdt" menu or the "Slice No." fuctions to work.
So my question is this: Can this be done? If yes what am i doing wrong?
I doubt that i will actually use this function alot, but i´d like to know what this machine is can do.
Thanks in advance,
Mads.

Re: ESX1 Slice problems.
Problem is that you are pushing the wrong button when you slice the sample.
You must press the slice function. then yu will be asked to input the number of slices.
Press slice again to confirm
you will be asked to input the threeshold, it goes to 10 as default. Move it left until all the slices are on.
Pless slice again to confirm.
then save it.
If the sample does not display a musical note symbol next to it, it did not store the slice settings.
If you go around somehere else while editing, the slice process won't be saved.
Is pretty easy......
