Looping as I play KORG R3

Hello, I'm new now because of the crash..

I have a Korg R3 synth. what i wanna be able to do is loop different sounds like percusion, bassline, leads , effects.
Can I do this with my Korg? Or would I need another hardware?

Which synths do you recommend me that are in the $500-$800 price range? :?:
If i want to do percusion, are ESX1 good for that? or maybe a padKONTROL? Or the Roland sp-404?

What's the difference between a Sampler?Looper?Sequencer?
Please englighten me with these instruments.
