Nord Lead 2 Distorted outputs !????? Modification ???

Hi All

I Just aquired a Nord Lead 2 ( keyboard )synth and noticed that without the DISTORSION effect on .Halfway upwards on the volume knob the output gets more and more distorted.

Anyone knows about this kind of possible mods for the nord lead ? Because i got the feeling that mine was modded...

It actually would have been kind of the seller to tell you beforehand. Do you have any pics?

The strange thing . Both outs 12 and 34 have the distorsion but not the headphones output !

Interesting! This can be a good thing if you like the sound of the distortion. I always put a hyperfuzz pedal with my NL2x anyway.

Despite what it may seem, I think that might be a HW issue-I had a NL2 rack that had the same kind of distortion (but but not out the headphone outs). I'd contacted Nord about it and there only solution was basically to replace the entire board.

It may be that the label is just pointing out which outputs have the issue.

Either way, the previous seller should have alerted you to this beforehand!

Sounds like you got ripped , but before you go and commit man slaughter ( I would )
Maybe and Iam just talking out my a$$ here , but maybe try updating or reloading the OS/firmware just in case it's a software glitch keeping the distortion on ? Take you a min ...worth a shot .

I wonder if they have an issue with the D/A converters on some boards ? Only one way to find out ....

Well guess what , i called the guy and he said his friend told him about a problem in the outputs when he borrowed it and he just didn't pay attention about it.

Anyway ,Went to him today and took my money back

Going to buy a Blofeld instead now.
