JX-8P 110/220 volt

Post by khrimson » Wed Dec 22, 2010 2:38 pm

Hi,

I bought a JX-8P off an american seller and its getting shipped to Europe. I would like to know if there are actually different versions of this synth for different power voltages so that I require an adapter and/or if its just a power cord thing.

thank you

If the synth runs on 110 Volts only then in the UK you will need a step-down transformer. They can be bought at plenty of places online. If the synth has a switch on the back to change the volts to 220/230/240, then you will just need a USA style 2 pin to UK style 3 pin plug adaptor (don't forget to change the volts to 220 before plugging in though), which can be bought anywhere (even Argos).

I did a bit of research and it seems this synth has either 110 or 220 volt power supply so I'll have to get a step-down converter. Thanks for your reply.
