TASCAM US-1641

I just picked one of these up from B&H for $209 and running the current drivers under Win 7 64-bit on my laptop I was able to get 49 samples latency , and stable that way. It takes a chunk of CPU to so that but its still nice... at 128 samples latency, I can run alot of stuff... I'll try running DAWBench on it to see what i can really get from it. The price is so low because it was recently discontinued in favor of the US-1800, and the only 'real' difference is that the 1641 has an internal power supply while the US-1800 uses a wall wart. And yes, i realize now i could have gotten it for $18o by getting Musician's Friend to do price matching... oh well.

Back to planning desk configurations...
