The V Synth is an amazing instrument, It's an hybrid sampler-VA, and maybe wavetable synth, but certainly is not a workstation.

It lacks sequencer, and a complete multitimbre mode, some characteristics present on workstations. I understand that the concept of the workstation is to be able to do everything on it.

Despite the poly is not huge (around 24) I have made complete compositions with the Vsynth, but obviously I needed an external sequencer.

Those beats you heard there, are made with the arpeggiator assigned to a patch made with layers.

They're all very good. Kronos is the newest kid on the block, so it's where the attention is right now. However, if stage appearances is the standard, then the Motif is still the one to beat.
