Arpeggiator in this song

Post by Skiroy » Mon Jul 11, 2011 7:11 pm

Start song around 3:30 there is a arpeggiator. What synth is this and what effects do they have on it?

Also how do they make the arpeggiator swing? I have tried arpeggiators via VST sound plugins and they always sound to robotic and stiff, but a a arp by nature is on a grid so how do get it to groove? Is it only certain older analog arps that can do this or what?

And finally do the model D Mini Moog have a arpeggiator because I saw a youtube video where a guy was using a model D and it was arpping.

I do not hear any swing on the arpeggiator or anywhere else in the song. It's straight sixteenth notes. No FX, just synth. Not sure what synth. Sounds like a Roland to me.

The MiniMoog does not have an arpeggiator. The only vintage Moog synth that i'm aware of having an arpeggiator is the MemoryMoog. I think The Source also has an arpeggiator.
