This is Zappa Plays Zappa's set-up. Two keyboard rigs: one stage right for sax player Scheila Gonzalez (ROMplers of some sort) and stage left for Chris Norton (the main keyboardist and complete badass). His set-up was kinda like talking a stroll through our rig pictures. Let's see if memory serves:
To his left he had a rolling rack with his mixer and effects in it and a Little Phatty on top, plus he kept a Monotron in there that he hopped onto in the middle of "Cheepnis" and wailed away on;
in the middle he had a Fender Rhodes with a Korg Radius keyboard on top and an Arturia keyboard controller on top of that;
in between the middle and right he has a Macbook of some sort;
on the right he had a Nord Stage or Electro (couldn't tell; used mainly for piano sounds) and an M-Audio controller on top. ZPZ were awesome that night, although way too short (they opened) and Chris's key lines were pretty awesome. Nothing crazy as far as soloing goes (just one real shot in there to show off) but his playing was always tasteful and he nailed a lot of the cool tones that Frank's keyboard players used throughout his history.
Also noticed a Plugiator on top of Dweezil's massive guitar rig. Not sure if he used it for anything, but it was in there.
And then onto RTF

Chick Corea. You expected him to come out and just shrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeedddddddddddddd. He didn't really. He left that to the four string dudes Jean-Luc and Stanley (and the latter did so much noodling that it kinda ruined the show a bit for me). The last RTF tour Chick took one of the new Rhodes pianos out with him, this time not. He had some sort of Yamaha baby grand piano behind him (the guts were covered up by some insert), a Motif that he played most of the night (convincing Rhodes sounds mostly), with a Voyager on top of that (sounded so creamy) and to his right a Little Phatty that he only played during the encore to face the audience.
Twas pretty cool to see so many nice synths in one place at one time. You don't get to see that too often.
