Yamaha EX5

Post by Moze63 » Wed Jan 25, 2012 12:52 pm

Hello, Having worked myself up the ladder with yamaha keyboards I'm very pleased with my EX5.
The problem I'm having is, after I have finished sequencing a song, the empty measures just keep playing. Like the synth doesn't know there is no more data so it can end a song within a measure or two. Found this to hog up memory since my first sequence was only 9 tracks and I used a GM set of voices. Had to thin out stuff and am worried that it doesn't have the memory or "know enough" to end a song like my old Sy99 and Sy77 could.
I'm very comfortable with the layout and can get around quite easily after having only going in for a full song sequence from a 9 part score. Under 6 hours. With lots of breaks.

Also would like some help to know...how to fade out a song that ends with a whole note tied to another whole note.
I know the crecendo feature has the ability to decrecendo with a neg. setting but this just isn't working.

so far these are only troubles as of yet and would respect all input.

Thanks
