I owned a microQ and sold it about year or two ago to someone on this sight. I believe he asked the same questions as you once he received the synth. It seemed to take him awhile to figure it out, but I think he was finally able to use it for dubstep.
I'm not one to really make dubstep music, but I have tried from time to time to put down some dubstep beats and throw some wobbles in there. It is very easy to do it in software. I found it easier to do in software than a hardware synth. I was able to make my wobbles with ease in Logic's Sculputure synth.
Micro Q for dubstep??

Re: Micro Q for dubstep??
I think what everyone is saying here is that dubstep is largely created post-synth to take things beyond synth a vs synth b. massive is a fav of many due to the ability to get multiple modulations at once so maybe look for things that have extensive envelopes and mod matrices but also maybe try recording the notes youwant with the wobble and then try tweaking more after before dropping dough in something new. You could make dubstep honestly with a mic and a midi controller if you wanted. h**l use a banjo, just be creative and don't solve all your problems with new gear. Iyou have a synth. Now learn to process your signal.

Yep. And Skrillex says he uses FM8 also. Well of course, you can make any sound you can imagine with that, as CS_TBL shows us often.condit79 wrote:massive is a fav of many
