as some of you might do already; i would like to start running my equipment through, say, an analog mixer or channel strip to get a warmer sound out of my recordings. i was thinking of only like a 4 channel mixer and was looking at the Toft ATB4 but its a bit far out of my budget.
can you suggest something in this area that'd be under $1200 US. maybe even a nice vintage preamp or compressor ?
i just dont really know where to start looking or what would a better option.
cheers
Suggest an analog mixing console or processor!

Try Slate VCC. It actually works. A real console or channel strip that's worth using would stretch your budget.

Slate VCC is an actual console emulation. UAD doesn't have that. If you've an iLok2 you can demo it.
