Rare exotic Japanese synth Suiko ST-100

The above image is the picture of the Synth. My grandmother who lived in Japan owned one in the 1980's. Recently when I visited Japan I was given it while clearing out her belongings after she passed away.

I can't find much information on it even on the internet. The keys are organized in a traditional japanese scale pattern, and a variety of instruments can be played on it (mainly traditional japanese instruments). One of the case sides acts as a portable speaker. A while back I saw one on sale on ebay, however I have not seen anything since.

Originally I intended to keep it, but I can't really find a use for it anymore and was wondering if anyone had any information on it. I am by no means a expert on synth instruments at all. Also value wise, how much would it be worth considering that it is a super rare exotic synth?

Can you speak/write in Japanese? Best bet if you can is to search the "Japanese" part of the internet. Don't think it would be worth much as a "Synthesizer" as it doesn't appear from the picture to have much "Synthesis" value. Looks like it just plays back presets. It's value is probably in it's rarity, kitsch and its ability to play traditional Japanese music. That said I have no idea how much it is worth or anything about it...

true it might be something else to call this a ''synth'' but I couldn't find anywhere else knowledgeable enough to post about it haha. Surely it is still a rare item and has some semi-decent re-sell value? I know its hard to tell but wouldn't at least some people be interested?

No I actually searched the name of the actual product 水光-100 which translates to Suiko-100. I've searched in Japanese and English but with no success. The results I found were the ones which described it as rare and exotic

Synths like that pop up on eBay from time to time with asking prices in the low hundreds--usually from Japanese sellers. They're rare in the US but there is no real demand for them as most musicians don't have a need for Japanese scale electro-koto or electro-shakuhachi presets.

Some similar items that have been up for auction:
