Matrix 6 "Memory Protected" when switch on back is on or off

Post by Z » Thu Jun 12, 2014 1:30 am

Trying to save a new patch or dump patches from my M-6R and getting this message. I've flipped the memory protect switch on the back to both off and on positions and have no luck. Is there anything I need to do in the Matrix 6's System Edit?

Thanks, G. I'll check that tomorrow - both are at the shop.

Not sure why that'd affect it not being able to save a patch.

Well the Matrix 6 keyboard would not even power on today. When I switched it on yesterday, the screen said "CALIBRATING" for about a minute. My M-6R goes right to the last patch or function when switched on.

Off to the tech it goes, I suppose :(

Is the battery in the keyboard the original? It might need replacing, otherwise will have some strange outcomes.

I'm pretty sure the battery is original and is dead. But shouldn't it at least power on?

Everything under the hood looks normal to me, but I'm not technician.
