How to build a moog synthesizer

Post by skyler » Sun Oct 19, 2014 4:18 pm

I am in high school, and I love to solder, and build electronics from scratch. I am thinking of starting out with some parts of the original moog synth. Does anybody know where to get schematics/plans for it, and where I should start? I want to start with some simple circuits but increase more and more for complex analog only synths.

Thanks
Skyler

Lots of great info here: http://yusynth.net/index_en.php?&arg=0

Also check out Ken Stone's CGS website, not Moog circuits but very useful.

If you're just looking for Moog schematics not actual boards then there are heaps online, a google search will bring them up.

The Muffwiggler forum diy section has a heap of great info and projects.

Also check out synthcube and thonk.

The Bob Moog Foundation has a tremendous library of Moog schematics that will be made public over time in the future!

That's great! Any idea of the timeframe?
