In fact if it is I see you do other stuff so I may well have some work for you if you're not too busy. Once you have replied we'll take to PM.

Are you the chap on ebay selling backlight replacements? If so, i'm localish to you. Have you ever done a DX100?
No, that must be someone else.

I'm afraid the DX100 cannot be upgraded with a new display as its integral to the front panel assembly...

"The DX100's LCD on the other hand, isn't an all-in-one unit. The LCD glass comes away from the DX100 motherboard (a little bit like when you dissect a digital watch- sorry, geek alert again!). The controller chip (HD44780) is somewhere on the DX100 board. You couldn't therefore just get a 16 character backlit LCD and fit it into the DX100, because the layout isn't compatible."

Where did you get the cool blue screens for the SY77 and 99?

Are they still available?

I've seen posts across the web that show an arduous process to install - and some horror stories too. Can you point to instructions on how to do it?

Thanks!
Kevin.

Let's bump this thread: I have now made an article about the TG33 Cool Blue display at my home page: http://www.synthstudiodevries.com/page.php?38
