July 2015 Interview with Dave Rossum

Post by cornutt » Thu Nov 05, 2015 3:18 pm

This is from Amazona.de, which is in German, but the interview is in English. Here is a link to Part One. Links to the parts 2-4 will be on the right as you read the page. I didn't know that Rossum is starting a new synth company. Apparently it hasn't released any products yet.
Switches, knobs, buttons, LEDs, LCD screens, monitors, keys, mice, jacks, sockets. Now two joysticks!

His new company is Rossum Electro Music and he's been teasing a new prototype module on twitter. The details of what this module is has not yet been released.

That was a really fascinating read. Thanks for posting the link. I think a resurrected E-mu of some kind is pretty exciting. Maybe a new/old take on the SP-1200, for backward-looking products, and maybe some outlandish follow-up to the Morpheus for the future?
