yea i do hope to pick up a thing or two. I want to talk with him about doing the RDS sample rate pot mod on all three of my units.

very true about the cables also. If I could start over i'd go that route for sure.

interesting about the power / hum stuff. I am lucky that overall my studio isn't noisy.. but this time around I just want to use balanced, where in the past i just used all kinds of rca / unbalanced cables and sure a few here and there isn't too bad, but last time i wired up the studio i had 3 48 point patch bays filled with stuff and that seemed to be getting kinda noisy.. but it's not just that it's more like i just wired up everything without testing as i went..

this time as i do it, i just want to be sure each device is as quiet as possible.. i'm not running a pro studio or anything, but i still want to just be smarter this time around and do it as right as possible in my budget.

i know we got a bit off topic on this thread, but the input is still much appreciated in all areas!
