Roland Expansion Card Patches & JV 880

Post by kspssd » Sun Sep 29, 2013 11:30 pm

Just found this website in a mad search for info...
I recently purchased the SR JV 80 -98 Experience II board for my JV 880..
For the life of me I cannot access the Patches. I have read my manual and tried the "Load Patch Single and Load Patch Group" but... I get a "Parameter Not Exist" message.

ANY help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Is the board seated correctly? Open her up and check to make sure, as it's the only thing I can think of that might help - although the OS might not recognise that high a number (i.e. SR-JV80 ##) board - when the 8/80 was released there was only a couple avalable, so the OS might not be able to see that high a number board. Hope that helps.

The JV-880 and other models are unable to use any of the Patches on this board. You can only use the Waveforms. The SR-JV80-98 Experience II board is kind of a kludge. It does not work like the other boards in the SR-JV-80 series.

Taken from the SR-JV80-98 Experience II user manual;
"This 'tryout' expansion board features unique specifications which make it incompatible with the JD-990. The JV-80/880/90/1000 allows you to use only waveforms."
