Juno-D midi-issues

Post by Hokusai » Mon Oct 30, 2006 6:19 pm

When I use my Juno-D in combination with a M-Audio midi/usb-cabel and my computer some keys on the keyboard act as if they were sustained(usually just one key at a time), and it seems to be random which key's affected. I also can't seem to change the midi-channal the synth sends out, it's always locked to channal 5, which means that when the synth is in preform-mode channal 5 is played regardless of which channal I happen to be playing.

I've tried to fix the problem my self, but the troubleshooting chapter in the synths manual left me less than satisfied and I don't really understand what the different midi-settings in the system-menu do, so please help!

I don't have much knowledge about the Juno-D but I'll try to be helpful.

When you go to SYSTEM:MIDI, is the Juno-D is set to RxCH or to 1-16? RxCH is recommended (see p.94)

And about the sustain problem, I'm pretty sure it's just a setting to tweak. (See the SYSTEM FUNCTIONS, p. 91-91)

Hope that helps. Otherwise, Roland has a support group: I'm sure there they'll know exactly what's what with your Juno-D.
