So, if you were looking for a piece of gear that can double as a Mother-in-law Attitude Readjustment Tool (MART), would you recommend the XP10?tallowwaters wrote:hit a biker with an xp10, but it didnt f**k up the xp10.

Two VCO: thanks to the push rods, one can choose several forms of waves at the same time!

I learned to play with brand new SY-35 and eventually
(Within a year) broke it's keyboard (Middle C non functional).
Repaired it though.

I had a Juno 106 who kept tossing voice cards on me. After the 3rd one I gave up. That's about all the trouble I've had with synths. As for drums...there isn't much I haven't broken at some point. Sticks, heads, rims, cymbals, pedals, stands, drum shells, my hands, etc. After many costly replacements I've finally learned how to hit things properly so I don't break stuff so much.

if somebody invites you to a battle of the bands, and when you show up, the place happens to be a f**k double wide... beware.nuketifromorbit wrote:Is performing live in eastern NC usually that hazardous?tallowwaters wrote:hmmm...
hit a biker with an xp10, but it didnt f**k up the xp10.
one time some b***h poured f**k beer over all of my f**k pedals. when i threatened to kick her c**t in her boyfriend walked over to me and our drummer blasted his a*s with a f**k folding chair before he or i could say 'boo'
i gotta tell you, you see people getting hit with folding chairs on tv and it looks funny, but when you see a 6'1" 230 lb f**k bat swing a folding chair into a douche bag's face from a blind spot, it looks a lot less amusing.
anyhow, the pedals still work fine to this day. homeboy now has 3 plastic teeth though.![]()
moral - nobody f**k with my gear.
the place where i hit the biker was in johnson city or knoxville. get all those tennessee dipshit confused, as they all drive like morons.
as far as what synth to hit people with?
i am pretty sure much greivous bodily harm can be made with an emax. 46 lbs of f**k metal...
Brains can be used like a "stress ball," but only once.

This topic was picked up on Sonicstate's weekly podcast and is discussed quite humorously! In fact, the whole podcast is funny this week.

finally got the parts to fix my delay pedal yesterday.
TOLL/IPEC tried to deliver 4 times this week before 6am.
I'm awake but I ain't answering the some bastard knocking on my gate at that hour.
(Not too scared of drunks, but I have an irrational fear of the living dead...)
Ended up trekking miles(on foot) in the shadeless streets of Port Melbourne.
Somehow managed to run into an old friend who gave me a lift to home/the pub.
Woke up with a bit of a hangover and the pedal fixed....
