FL Sytrus, how unique!

Post by sustain » Sun Dec 07, 2008 3:43 pm

Does anyone else here agree with me that this synth sounds phat!?

Since I have a mac, I can't use it.

But I was wondering, what makes it sound the way it does? It seems to have a really warm chunky edge to it (especially the sawtooths).

My guess is its filters, Imageline added some pretty radical ones... So then, what if you want to emulate this synth?

Haha, too many questions... thinking out loud here..

Sytrus seems quite similar to Rob Papen's blue featurewise.

Not sure what you mean about the "warm chunky edge" to it. From what I've heard of it, a lot of the presets are absolutely covered in phaser.

It's also extremely CPU-hungry, though some of the presets sound pretty decent. I got in on a group buy for it a while back but haven't played with it too extensively.

yes and yes. people really seem to dislike it because it an FL plugin, but don't knock what works, ya know?

the pads are wonderful, the basses are fat...i only want a good organ sound now.

Yeah, basses are great. Especially 303 stuff, I still think it's just the way the filters shape the oscs.
