If you haven't tried U-He ACE yet, you're missing out on the goodness.

THANK YOU

This synth is amazing.
yeah haven't really tried poly iblit yet but the regular iblit is great for bass.

as for reaktor being too complicated, I must note that I don't actually make any of my own synths in there yet but there are so many great synths in the user library that others have made.

I'm still amazed that the OP has tried every softsynth ever made. That must have taken a long time and cost quite a bit of money.

Reaktor sounds better. That's just it. I have no intention of building synth or ensembles, and yet, just by using the ones that come out of the box (the SoundSchool Analogue has to be the best "analog" soft synth I've used), and the amazing stuff you can find in the user library, it is the most versatile, best sounding, software out there, by a mile!

Some of the ensembles you can find on the user library are just too good to be true. The rachmiel things, the Synthex, and Solina emulations, the grooveboxes...

Oh yes, Reaktor is INSANE; the amount and quality of synths is just staggering. Too good to be true, really.

I recently got an nice ($100) pair of headphones, and found lots of synths I was using (like rob papen's predator) don't really have any presence in the sub-80hz range. You can fake it with a plugin that adds subharmonics but a naturally occuring sub-bass sounds much better imho.

Ironically the first instrument I've found that had a natural presence in that range was the free iblit VST synth, which I only found due to this thread.

There are a couple impOscar patches that I use on every track. It is truly great sounding. Arturia CS-80 is pretty phenomenal... wish I could compare it to the real thing though... ;)
