My mother is sending $100.00 to me as a Christmas present.
What should I buy with it? I would like to find some cool musical toy or item for $100.00 or less. I have various little pieces of kit that need gig bags or cases plus I have that SKB rack case with a couple of spaces empty.
I’m also thinking about a Monotron or a used Mini KP or some other cool effect pedal.
What would you get if you had $100.00 burning a hole in your pocket?
i get along very well with her and she's pretty cool so no Mother In Law jokes...

Probably burn on some sort of softsynth or extra cables. Maybe something like impOSCar, Oddity, or something similar to that.

Madrona Labs - Aalto.

Save it.
Unless you absolutely need something. But if you just want to spend it for the sake of spending it, I'd try resisting that urge and then stash it away for that next big, expensive thing you'll really need

A haircut, saving it, or film. I find there's not much calling my name sub $1000 anymore in the synthesizer world.

I would use it for:
-- craigslist deal
-- a couple quality cables or a spool of cable to make some
-- monotron

Somebody to put your threads in the correct forum?

This maybe: http://accessories.musiciansfriend.com/ ... sku=580314
Although Fender's coming out with that Rock Band controller in a few months that looks to be a full-on MIDI guitar for under $300, so maybe I'd just save towards that.

A few records from the thrift store for sampling inspiration. Boss DD-5 digital delay off craigslist and probably the rest on some good weed for a fun afternoon in the studio.
