Love that arpeggio @ 2:15, instant old school PBS "This show was sponsored in part by .." type sounds.
Agreed that this (and the poly evolver) should probably have been 5 voices, ala the Prophet ... but regardless, go Dave!

Seeing the intro video by dave smith, I keep wishing he'd just turn over to the Prophet-5 and demo that aswell :P

i think i wil hold out for the mfb dominion x, you get all the poly you wanted plus its small.
Mopho Key's, Roland sh-32, Korg R3, M Audio Venom, Korg EMX 1, Korg ER 1, and lots of hours in the hole.

I tell you all what, I'll start making big stickers that fit over that logo with a photo of a cat's arse on it. That way you can all have something you enjoy looking at while slowly fingering that aftertouch.

Honestly.

You could always hide the logo with a desktop evolver...

Dominion 5, not X. But at 1800 Euro and with no keyboard, the MFB isn't really trying to do the same thing as the DSI.

I'd hide the logo using my Mopho desktop.

I'd hide the logo with a toasted (that's grilled for you amurrricans) sandwich. Or a lava lamp.

Sounds like a Nord Lead from that video, the Evolvers are much more interesting also how many times can you re-hash the same old synth... It's like he wants to release a new interesting synth but doesn't have enough money to develop a new IC chip seeing as Curtis is now dead

Cover up the x4 and give it warmth with this

They must have thought the panel logo was ok to them at least , it looks to me devoid of personality lacking a soul
too commercial anyway back to listening to Peter Schilling vinyl.

Ahaha. You know, that'd be a great place for the 'push it' button...

FWIW, I think the simple design looks OK, and I've never been put off a synth by a bit of screenprinting - though I did have to remove go-faster stripes and a hologram from my Juno 6 & 60 when I got them.

I imagine there are plenty of people who will be too busy using this thing to care much about a pair of oversized alphanumeric shadows. An I agree it would be a great place for lunch, a Tetra/Mopho, an iPad in an Alesis dock, or (gasp) a notepad and pen. Spaces like the beg to be filled.
