Roland Juno 106 - won't power up anymore

Post by cfernn » Wed Dec 05, 2012 9:44 pm

I stopped using the synth for a couple months...and now it won't turn on....

I've been using it for maybe 6 years now...never had power issues...I checked the cable with another synth and it works...so sadly it must be something to do with the synth.

I haven't dropped it or bumped it...I haven't even touched it!

Any suggestions on what I could do to check/fix the issue ???

Welcome to the board!
Never had a 106, but have had years of experence working on vintage synths.

If you mean no lights, sound, nothing then look at:
1) fuses inside
2) wire broken off the power switch
3) +5 volt regulator dead
4) power transformer (long shot)
