Ok then here's my choice--Tom Waits' studio during the Mule Variations studio sessions. Mainly because while it's not the first time Tom recorded with Primus, it is the first time it was for his own album. I find it entertaining to imagine they recorded like 3 or 4 takes of other tracks with Primus, but the only one that made it on the album was "Big in Japan" because Les Claypool kept botching takes by improvising. It's not true--but funny to imagine:
Looks like no-oooone....will ever come back...
to the house where nobody livessss.....
(uncalled for ridiculous cartoonish bass solo)
(Tom Waits looks up)

(Claypool shrinks away, goes back to original arrangment)

Actually yes, I should have added JMJ and Peter Gabriel to my list. Does he still do his "open door" thing at Real world?

I think Boris Blank 1980-84'ish would be my second choice.
Then sometimes I would take a s**t on his Fairlight screen
