Some help about to choose a synth sampler!!

Post by yosoychema » Sun Nov 12, 2017 3:35 pm

Hi, how are you people?

I need some help!!

I´m completly new in this formun and i nee some help to choose a synth sampler!!

I´m a guitar player and i compose music for my post-rock band. I´m also composing the keyboard sound for the band. So the thing is i´m doing now a lot of sounds like textures, low ends and ambient and organic analog synth sounds in the computer thouth the Kontakt vst and korg legacy. We are using my nord stage 2 in live as a main keyboard and i´m using the wav files that i created in kontakt thougth the Nord Stage. I have also a old polysix, the thing is i´m not really using my polysix becuase i have also the korg legacy colletion and i´m creating the sound from there to the nord stage sampler. I love the warm and deep dark synth sounds and textures.
SO my cuestion is; I want to sell the polysix is not very usefull for live and variety of sounds and don´t have a smapler) and buy a shytn with a sampler funcion as the nord in order to have moore sampler sound sounding at the same time (the nord only can 2). May be even controll these new synth thougt the Nord Stage also. The sampler función is basic for me now (and because i want to load a long wav files as textures i need that the synth sampler have a good cuality sound of the sampler that i preloaded). I will like if these new synth sounds are focus on these dark athmosferic sounds it will be great also to use his own sounds also. It could be digital or analogic (the analogic have moore this warm sounds but have no options as the digitals)
Someone recomend me the waldorf blofeld keyboard for this sounds and becuase it have 60 M of sampler.

I saw BEHRINGER DEEPMIND 12 and liked but is not very for ambient stuff no? I saw that it have keyboard split wich is geate because i can use 2 smapler sounds independent as the nord stage sampler.
What dou you think?

What sampler synth you recomend me?

Thanks for your time.

I will love to use the ableton but i don´t now really how. I use a pedal midi controller Boss ES-8 and i think i can do it from there. I write it on the ESforum these. May be you can help me with it.

Hi, to everyone. I´m planing to control ableton live from the ES-8 to throw sounds and textures. I don´t know if this is posible or easy. Corret me if i´m wrong.
I´m planing to buy a mabook (which do you recomend me? Macbook pro no?) with a sound card like focusride scarlet 2i4 for example. I take the two jacks outputs of the card to the stereo channel mixer. From the midi out of the last pedal of the chain i go to the midi in of the scarlet card. I connect the card to the computer by usb. I assign a midi channel to ableton. I create a proyect like Live proyect (i assume is better to have one proyect whit all the tracks for all the concert) and diferents audio tracks in it. In every track i put a wav file to sound it, and from the ES-8 i send a midi messages to the channel of i alredy assing to ableton and diferents CC in the ES-8 Sw dependig of the moment of the song or even the song.
What dou you think? What i´m wrong i all of these configuration? Is a huge proyect with many things to buy and i need some help with it.

Thanks for your help!!
