I am frustrated beyond words! I've been a Roland fan/user for over 30 years, but now this! I'm restoring a RD300s that I played in the 80's for my grandson. For the last 2 months, its been sitting....almost finished...but for two 2 products. Roland tells me to contact the local repair centers. The closest to me is 120 miles, but I tried anyway. They tell me they don't deal in these products.....I've tried contacting mailorder houses and other dealers and can't even get as call back. I can't even get to a real person at Roland to complain!
Here are the 2 items I need.
Roland part number: 17041858 Molykote M-1039 key lube.
Roland part number: 17049532 Floil G336A guide lube.
I'm told both are standard items and readily available.....to dealers.....I just need to find one who will sell them to me. I know the stuff is expensive. Internet conversations suggest the Molykote comes in pints for about $75. The G336A is about 30.00 Fine. I'll buy it! Would somebody please call me at 303-472-7571 or write me here or at [email protected]?
Thanks, gang!
Jim

I am always fixing broken hammer weights on my RD-500. Now i am on a quest for lube, too - the gray and white. And some of that cushion they land on - Orotex yellow. After 30 years it turns into sticky goo. There must be some viscoelastic polymer out there with similar performance. The other "cushions" and felt are not the same thing. Anybody know where i can get?

I am an authorized Roland tech. Also looking for the pink grease. I have a little left from previous repairs but almost out. Molykote G-1039. Not found on the DuPont website but 72 hits for G-10 pink grease. Waiting for a response from the Canadian operations manager who usually responds within a day or two. [email protected]
