Hello friends!
I would like to ask if someone had this problem with POLY800.
It turns on. Eferything works good. After 2 minutes of play it starts to play random keys very fast for some time and stops. when i start to play again it again generates random keys. After several tries all sounds resets to noise. I can upload factory sounds from tape and again everything goes the same as before.
thanks
D

Re: Korg POLY 800 strange problem
It could be a dirty signal path, due to dried electrolytic capacitors, or dirty DC voltage. As first you can try with another power supply (it should be extern, if I remember correctly). If it doesn't help, it could be some bad capacitor inside. In aged electronic boards, the first things to check/replace are the electrolytic capacitors.

Yes right, it can be more likely the battery in this case, if all the sounds ghe reset to noise.
