I was looking and it sounds like if I update to Catalina then I won't be able to use the Virus Ti ever again with the USB passthrough mode? Can any of the synth experts on here confirm that? I also had a h**l of a time getting even the USB midi to work on the Virus. I have had it working by way of the USB Ti thing and I have made some sounds I really liked and it's cool to use with it's random function. Just wondering if this thing is going to be at all usable or if it's just a paper weight now?

If Access support says that Virus Control is not compatible with Catalina, then that's that. Virus Control came out 15 years ago, an eternity in the synth world. I used it when I owned a Snow, in fact I never used the actual audio outputs, always using the plugin.
Going forward a MIDI interface and audio interface will let you use your Virus with a DAW, just not as a plugin any more.

Using the Virus in TI-mode always was a real pain for me. For years there were huge sync issues and audio drop outs. Now it works (Mojave) but the latency is too big.
I prefer using the TI over MIDI and Audio I/O. Then the instrument is an absolute joy to use.
