Patch reconstruction

Post by gstoelen » Wed Sep 08, 2021 10:02 am

Hi synth freaks :)

I'm looking for the synths from which the following 4 patches are drawn, or how those 4 patches can be reconstructed. Could 1 and 2 come from a Roland machine? (early 90's)

1) Phrenetic System - Dark Symphony (pad in the beginning of the track)
2) No Man's Land ‎– Termination - ZX (pad in the beginning of the track)
3) 3 XXX ‎– Tyranny V.X. (synth patch throughout the track; perhaps just a simple waveform with a LOT of filter action?)
4) DJ Bountyhunter - Woops (synth patch in beginning of track; could this come from a Moog?)

Thanks in advance !

1 & 2 sound "Korg-ey" to me, probably Korg M1

3 & 4 - pretty much any analog-style subtractive synth, there's nothing particularly special going on there - they're too generic to ID a specific synth I think...

A year later
I had a chat with most of the producers of those 4 tracks .. the first two contain a Korg M1 and apparently also a D-50 sound, layered. Three is probably an Alpha Juno but not sure, and four was mainly produced on a Roland D-5
