Every time I trigger a note on the juno, or trigger it from the midi device, I hear a click. When I unplug the midi out this doesn't happen. Also sys ex seems to be working funny. I can't seem to transmit any data to the Juno, as far a parameters and what not.
Any ideas?

Re: Juno 106 Midi Click
As far as the click it would help if you could post an audio example.
As far as sysex, proper transfer of sysex on early MIDI synths can be painful. The speed of transmission, whether too slow or too fast, can be all that's required to cause problems.
I assume you have set the MIDI switch on the rear panel to "III" (3), in the other two modes sysex is neither sent or received. Is the Juno sending sysex out when you tweak parameters?

I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.

Re: Juno 106 Midi Click
meatballfuton is spot on about the switch setting. RTFM
The clicks are caused by a non-MIDI DIN cable. You're hearing a ground loop because all 5 wires are connected including a screen which is probably shorted to one of the pins for audio purposes. A proper MIDI cable has only 3 out of the 5 connected. Get a better, branded MIDI cable. Thomann should have them.

Re: Juno 106 Midi Click
I'm not sure whats happening but its stopped. The synth doesn't seem to be sending out sysex or receiving as, I can't tweak parameters in my daw using a Juno 106 sysex plugin, which is the source of my current frustration.
