Yamaha CS-15 - recapping PSU

Hi.

The time has come for my trusty CS-15 to get some maintenance after many years. Firstly I would like to replace all old capacitors on the power supply board – especially the two tiny blue 0.01 uF tantalum caps. They are old and I've heard they can short all the circuit if they fail. The problem is that I can't source new equivalent tantalums nowhere online. I thought of swapping them with low ESR electorlytics, but those are not available as well in 0.01uF... The only ones I can find are the ceramic type, which doesn't seem to be a suitable replacement. Any suggestions on where to look (preferably in Europe) or maybe you could advise on other substitutes? Thanks.

Work out the values for 2 or more leaded tantalum capacitors in series to get you 0.01uF? Make sure to check dimensions before you buy, for a neat and tidy fit.

I'd recommend joining "Vintage Synth Repair and Mods" group on Facebook. Best source of info from people who are actually doing this for a living and have experienced all of the catches that we don't see in the textbooks or college courses, or the service manuals!

Sorry, my mistake, it seems I was looking at wrong capacitors on the schematics. The tantalums are 0.1 uF and they seem to be easily obtainable.
